From Black Hair To Blonde In Under One Week… ;]

Hey everyone!

Bloooonde!

Bloooonde!

Yep… I dyed my hair blonde! Firstly: Boxes LIE! Just thought I’d get that out there… You know with the little ‘If your hair is this colour, it’ll magically turn to this’ bit? Yeah… LIES! LIES, I tell you!!

I didn’t believe any of the people on the internet replying to ‘Going From Black Hair To Blonde’ question posts with ‘Your hair will fall out!’… So I asked my mom to do it and just hoped that the people saying my hair would turn to orange were wrong as well…

Well the latter wasn’t wrong :/… My mom bought a bleaching kit and a blonde hair dye for me on Saturday. We put the bleacher in, not thinking about my already, blonde grown roots and just putting the bleach ALL over… Yeah! Major blonde moment 0.O…

As I was eagerly watching and impatiently waiting for the time to be up, my hair was turning orange… and the roots turning WHITE… No. No, no! I was hoping the problem would be magically solved when we rinced the dye out… It wasn’t! My sister, being the helpful person that she is, was standing behind me, giggling uncontrollably and taking pictures of the accident with MY mobile! My mom had exclaimed an ‘Oh my God Bianca!’ and since then had joined Venetia’s giggling.

I stood up, looking in the mirror and whether it was nervousness or actual entertainment at the state of my hair… I laughed… Every time I passed by a mirror, I couldn’t stop laughing… I don’t know what I was expecting but it certainly wasn’t that! So, that same night, we put the blonde dye in, waiting again and rinsed… Not much of a change from the carrot head, I had recently become.

On Sunday we could do nothing because all of the shops were closed but it was a good excuse for my hair to rest, seeing as you’re recommended to wait four to eight weeks before re-dying. I did not have that long. On Monday, I stayed at home and my mom went to the shops and bought another bleach. This only made my orangutan-look lighter.

On Tuesday, we dyed my hair again… But I really think we should of bleached instead. The dying, didn’t really do anything! Although the hair colour was a little less ‘in your face’.

Although on Wednesday, I didn’t go out to the skatepark, as I usually do, with Venetia because of the madness of my hair.

On Thursday, my mom went back to the little store that she had been running back and forth to all week and bought, even more bleach… but for herself aswell. After we had used this bleach, both of us had bright yellow hair now. By now you’d think I would be as bald as a rock without moss… but my hair was still strong and after the latest killer chemicals, actually looking lovely and glossy!

So back to the store we reluctantly went… It must of been such a funny sight, two people with banana hair trying to find a solution to the problem, staring at the many hair dying boxes. Eventually we chose another bleach with blue in it, apparently this would take away the yellow-ness. It did actually help a lot and with one more hair dying to an ash blonde. My hair was finally presentable again!

My hair had a much needed trim and afterwards, my mom had this idea to smother olive oil all over it and leave it in for the day and the  night. This did wonders to restore the softness back to my locks. During the whole process above I slept with conditioner in my hair a couple of times and by Friday night I was back to drying and straightening.

There was an awesome concert in town that night and the ice-rink opened the next day so, it was a rush to have my hair back to normal :D .

For some reason, my fringe and the ends of my hair were a darker blonde than the very light rest but over the past month or so it’s blended in more and looks good :D ! My mom has vowed to never dye my hair again and now my natural hair colour is growing out but it isn’t as noticable as when it grew out to the black hair, so all is good :) !

Everyone was shocked at the sudden change and I’m pretty sure I’m never going to go back to black because that was just… all very complicated. 0.O :P

At least I’m making my mistakes now!

If you are going to bleach or dye your hair, I suggest Garnier – It doesn’t burn whatsoever! Usually we use L’Oreal which is paaaiiinful! So when my mom asked me if my scalp was burning and I calmly replied ‘Nope.’ she thought I had lost all senses because of the excessive dying.

I’ve also stopped being such a scissor-maniac! I’ve decided to let my hair grow now because I’m so envious of Venetia’s :P . And if I do dye my hair again, it will only be back to my natural colour… I’ve been lovingly looking at the photos of way back before April when my hair was as natural as Gizmo’s curls [I couldn't think of any other reference 0.O...] and am now pretty much in love with that colour :P . So, I’ve just gone around in an almost circle -.-’ . But I have learnt my lesson! ^.^

If you want to read about my red and black hair dying – Go hair! [Hahahaha! :P ] : Hair Grows Back!

Oh! I’m always making half-sensed puns, I get that from my dad ;P. And speaking of puns! I received the loveliest card in the post yesterday from my mom! We live in the same house but my parents rock :P . Ok! So the front has a little cartoon owl on it with a heart and says: ‘Whoo’ll Always Love You?’ And on the inside it reads: ‘Owl Always Love You!’!

Hahahahahaha! I’ve been telling everyone, I just love it! :P

Anyway, I’m going to leave you now and hopefully will hear from you soon!

People will think it’s inappropriate and just plain weird…

Hellooo out there,

I have so much news but I don’t know where to start seeing that it’s been such a long time that I last wrote… Something is wrong with my wordpress, as you can see in the post below this one, my font doesn’t seem to want to be nice to me and just do the thing I want it to do -.-, oh well.

Anyway, I got my hair cut – I figured that I’m only going to be a teenager once so I may as well be crazy and not care now. Not that I’m a hooligan or anything! I just mean looks wise. I’m hardly going to be able to dye my hair a million colours when I’m an adult… because people will think it’s inappropriate and just plain weird… But doing it as a teenager is somewhat different… Ok, most people will still think it’s inappropriate and just plain weird but at least I’m a teenager… therefore it shouldn’t bother me! But I do restrain myself from going completely wild…

That was a very drawn out way of saying that I’ve been experimenting with my hair recently. When I was little I had a really cute, little fringe but Venetia had taken the time out, away from scissors, to grow her fringe out. I was so envious and all I wanted was that no-fringe look. I revisited the past by getting my fringe back and now I want to grow it out again -.-… See, at least I’m experimenting these things now instead of making mistakes later! I actually love it but it’s a pain having to straighten it everytime I go out :P .

Remember when I dyed my hair black?… Well it lightened so much and it ‘accidently’ became a funny light brown colour… so last week… I dyed it back to black! It goes brilliantly with the fringe actually! xD And now I can go back to putting fun colours in my hair again. Woo hoo!

I’m going to make this post short, so that your time doesn’t feel too wasted when you come to the end of this blog post and you realise the whole thing was only about my hair :/. I would upload pictures but I can’t right now because… well I’ll tell you why in the next post :P .

Hoping to hear from you guys soon!

Hair Grows Back!

Hey people!

I am genuinely sorry that I haven’t written in such a long time… I thought I wouldn’t be so busy with “the most incredible site ever” (http://www.lingolyrics.com) once it was up and running – I was very wrong! :P

It’s good though! :D

Seeing as I haven’t writting for almost a month… I have plenty of news! Most of which comes from the past week…

Firstly… Over the past few days, I had a major need for change and so decided to colour my hair… Oh dear! :P Last Wednesday evening I came home from a tiresome day of ice-skating and got my mom to dye my hair. My parents had been shopping and had bought me red hair dye because they said it was awesome and would suit me.

Hair Today - Gone Tomorrow... Lame, I Know :P

Hair Today - Gone Tomorrow... Lame, I Know :P

“Hair Grows Back!” was the sentence that I repeated over and over again like some mad person once I realised how red my hair really was o.O… It was red! Very, very red! Very, very, very red! That’s an inside joke… between myself =/… I always say it then burst into a fit of giggles… because it’s funny in my head. I don’t even know why! It can be any adjective but you have to get extremely over enthusiastic towards the end of the “very’s” for it to work :) . Wow o.O I can ramble!

It took me a couple of days to actually get used to the colour and although everyone said that it was really pretty – I just couldn’t bring myself to love it. I would get a fright every time I passed a mirror and my reflection wasn’t that of ME! Or I would spend forever just staring at it in all different lighting and in the end always came to believe that my hair was orange. Even if it clearly wasn’t… It seemed to be fading quickly though.

As you may have noticed I am indeed using past tense. For on the fifth day I dyed my hair… yet again. Only now  do I realise that it was an awesome colour – but I also realise that my natural hair colour was also very pretty… So it’s true – You don’t appreciate something until you lose it – or in my case dye it… I don’t even think that’s the right phrase but you get my point :P !

So yes – On Monday it was dyed black and I love it! It has a slight red tint in the sunshine which makes it even more awesome… It took a few days to come off my skin… I think it even is still on my skin but it’s not noticeable ^.^. Now I’ll just fill in the roots with a semi-permanent dye and let my natural hair colour grow out =]…

Me With Black Hair =]

Extravagant hair bows are simply the best! I made that one :D !

Anyway other news… Hmmm… Venetia fell on the bus hahahaha!!!

I’ll leave that for the next post though because I don’t want to send up an extremely long blog that’ll put you off reading it – So shall leave it at that!

Hoping to hear from you guys soon!

Randomly… random! O.o

Hellooo again everyone!

Since I have no new news, I’ll give you some … stories… I’m not sure what they are going to be yet, myself, but I’ll just write and see what happens :-P !

Well living in Ireland was a lot of fun… yet very cold :-P . Nah in the summer it reached at least 20 degrees. When I was three (yes I know I’ve already told you this but that doesn’t mean I can’t give a more detailed… description :-P )!

Well when I was three years old we moved from Zimbabwe to Ireland, we had to leave because it was far too corrupt to live in anymore and my dad was a journalist which made it a whole lot more dangerous. Now the only reason we chose to move to Ireland out of the whole world was that my mom had lived there when she was younger for a short time in her life and my grandmother and great grandmother had been born there. So anyway we moved to southern Ireland first, I started school here for the first year, we stayed in southern Ireland for about three years, later moving to Northern Ireland, Belfast.

My parents quickly found my sister (who was about 10 now) and myself (I was six… aww how cute!!!) a primary school. I was so scared on the first day that I cried as soon as my parents left the classroom… the teacher moved me over to a desk where there where more children (I was sitting at one with… four at the beginning … it needed more people at it, well it did have five for a very short time…) and introduced me to two girls there Natalie and Lauren C. (not sisters their last names both just begin with C :-P ), who have been my best friends since…

Anyway to carry on with what I was saying, I soon became friends with almost everyone in the class and stayed in Finaghy Primary School until the last day of primary seven (I’m not sure how this works out in any other countries but I was 11, if that helps).I moved onto Hunter House College, parting ways with a lot of my friends, a few months later my parents decided to start home-schooling my sister and I so I ended up parting ways with ALL of my friends. Although I did gather a get-together once in a while.

I’ve been home-schooled since and I’m very pleased that I started it or it wouldn’t be likely that I would be sitting in south-west France typing this now and I also wouldn’t have moved house a few months after beginning home schooling as to the limitlessness I had. Not having to live close to schools. It’s really strange to think of stuff like that :-S. Anyway, if you read the 5th post under this one, you’ll see how we came to get to France, don’t think that the people who have already read it would appreciate me repeating myself (something that I do often) :-P !
Ohhh! In France at the last house, we found out a secret that our dog (Gizmo, our shih-Tzu, which is a small dog, creepishly koala like, with a pigs tail, has more rows of teeth then any normal dog and hair instead of fur…) was keeping from us… HE LOVES FISHING! Well actually… he couldn’t be bothered with the fishing part, he just likes to take the fish back to the water and drop them in…

Sometimes this doesn’t go as smoothly as it sounds, sadly Gizmo was a little bit too rough with two tidlers (literally the size of my baby finger) and he didn’t bring them to the water soon enough… it’s okay though, my sister and I hummed a sad song… the fish just… floated away… one came back to life though :-D !!!

I have the tape somewhere I just need to edit it a slight touch :-P , he was better with the bigger fish, it was really funny, they kept slapping him in the face (well I wouldn’t like to be in Gizmo’s mouth either…).

Gizmo’s not so great with the fishing part because he’ll stand in the water, up to his stomach (which is right on the embankment… he has VERY short legs), and groan at the float. Sometimes he’ll get so annoyed that the fish aren’t biting he’ll start to bark and scratch at the water, flicking it up. A few times he chased the toads in the lake as well!

Ohhh my dad caught a toad once, it was pretty late and we were watching a baby toad eating flies at the edge of the river, so my dad got a piece of bait and put it on his hook, began waggling it around in front of the toad (about the size of my thumbnail) and it went for the bait! My dad quickly yanked the rod so the toad couldn’t latch on and get hooked. That was really funny!

Well I’m tired… and slightly hungry as well now so I’ll leave it at that! Hope to hear… and see :-P from you all soon! Thanks for reading (sorry it was a bit random today).
