Hey guys!
It’s the last day of 2008 and tonight we shall be having an extra second added to the day. There’s a lot to look forward to in this year… Thirty-two days until my 15th birthday for one : P.
I intend to be speaking and understanding French much, much better by the end of 2009. I’ve already come so far with my language learning this year.
This time last year, I hardly had any friends in France… I was only starting to learn my guitar. I hadn’t ever been in a band… Nor had I even had much courage to sing in front of people other than my parents and my sister… And then I was still iffy about that.
I couldn’t even do a simple stop in ice-skating never mind all of the things that I’m capable of doing now. My blog was only a baby back then as well. I had never met Gadget, my kitten… Gadget actually hadn’t even been born!

Good morning everyone!
So today is Tuesday, the day I was born. For some reason it’s my favourite when I think of “a favourite day for no reason”… I have absolutely no idea why it is my prefered because nothing new ever really happens on a Tuesday… I think I just like the sound of it /: |.
On other exciting news topics 
; So for Christmas Venetia recieved a computer, pretty awesome, huh? The only little thing is that the computer happens to be French… And of course with a French computer comes a French keyboard. It’s much, much better for us to use because it means we’ll… well, know the French keyboard /: |. And it even makes a lot more sense than this keyboard. Even if an awful lot of the time I was hitting a “,” instead of the wanted “M” or the same with NEEDING an “A” and only finding myself looking up to find a “Q”… I was getting used to it after a while but I”m sure it’ll take a lot more practice . I chose not to write a 500+ word Deja Moi Comme Ca blog on there, hee hee .
Okay… That was just not funny -_-… I tried to find the apostrophe and was looking to the top of the keyboard again -_-. Oh yes, the only thing that doesn’t make too much sense is that you have to click the “Shift” button to get to any of the numbers… But it’s very clever otherwise ^_^.
I’m addicted. I found this My Chemical Romance song yesterday and I just can’t stop listening to it… It’s just incredible! I love all of their music but this song’s new to me and now needs to be worn out by my ears … Therefore it is on repeat ^_^. I got these awesome new headphones for Christmas so the best thing is, I’m not bugging anyone whilst “My Chemical Romance – Heaven Help Us” plays over and over and over… and over. Venetia always gets really annoyed when I play my music over and over again. I made her play it out loud three times… I hope she wasn’t listening because then that’s going to my three times that I could of played it over and over without having to moan for it ^_^.
Oh yes! Another song that I’m really into is “Charles Aznavour – For Me Formidable”. When you read the lyrics – Or, ehem… In my case… Sing the lyrics – you just melt! It’s the sweetest song ever written… Well, I’ve yet to find sweeter anyway ^_^. As you can see… My music taste is unbelievably varied .
Oh! I was mistaken for being a FRENCH person! Do you believe that :O? Me! French! Crazy stuff, hee hee! Well, you see Venetia and I were in the locker room at the ice-rink when we walked past an older couple trying to figure out the locker… I was taken aback with awe as I felt my mouth drop… I quickly ran to Venetia’s side and whispered “They speak English!” accompagnied by a big smile.
They seemed to be having trouble with the locker and it’s many numbered buttons, it was the perfect opportunity to speak to them. So we went over and Venetia said “Do you need some help?” and I was utterly upset as the woman replied with a “Do you… Do you want to speak English?”. Who says that? Have a conversation with the people! Don’t just ASK if they want to speak English… We smiled, Venetia said something along the lines of “Ehm… Do you need help with your locker?” (I was too shocked to be listening) and the husband replied with a simple “Ca marche.”… I never got to speak English 
. I just like to hear where people are from and how long it took them to speak French … Nice to not think ^_^. But since they mistook us for being French, it wasn’t all that bad 
.

Hey people ^_^!
So three days ago was as a normal morning usually is : P. My dad woke me up and I went to let Gizmo outside… but as the wooden shutter flew open… : O The blaring white gave me quite a shock… And so did the cold /: |… SNOOOW! And lots of it ^_^.
It was absolutly brillliant! Practically the whole day it poured… bucketed /: |… blizzard-ed snow! So after the first time out in it and all Venetia and I did was have a snowball fight, get cold and wet… and me ending up having a bad asthma attack we came inside and I decided that I didn’t want to have to go out into it again… Unless for recording purposes of course!
We did end up outside in the chilly weather again though to make a snowman… Venetia was determined to and since we hadn’t made a proper one before – Why not? Apparently snow is rare in our little village so I got my warm clothes back on and headed outside.
Venetia did all of the rolling. I just stood and complained about getting my camera wet if I touched the snow . Of course Venetia was well prepared with a zip up pocket so I had to shush and help.
Snow is heavy /: |… The movies that depict snow as “cute” and “fluffy” LIE!!! It’s evil and heavy and spends its life wanting to give you asthma attacks and make you wet… Sometimes it even has the cheek to trip you up ! See, Venetia had just made a mother of a snowball for the base and as she was turning it around to come closer to the garage door, VWOOF! She had just… rolled over the snowball and was lying on the ground… Like one of those cartoons o.O.
Oh! And then we tried lifting the middle section of our “Maujaq Monster” (That took me forever to find!! Maujaq is an eskimo word for soft, deep snow… I only needed to find a word for snow that started with M to go with monster ) It was just far too heavy, so after many attempts, Venetia being her brainy self… Dug her hands into the snow as did I and voila! Liftable ^_^. Yet, I still jump up and down and get excited by snow >.< – That’S NO(W) joke! Haha! No, I’m sorry… I just had to put one of those corny jokes in there -_-. While Venetia was decorating her dude I decided to go off to the other part of the garden where the clean snow still lay, untouched by the hands of us… Yet!
Whilst there I chose to make a snow cat… Which soon turned into the making of a miniature baby snow polar bear . I could lift him and put him anywhere and he was just so cute… Although I broke his face a few times trying to get a nut eye into his head /: |. In the end though, he rocked!
Venetia’s snowman was more leaves than snow really… But we tried to make his outside all white and happy looking… It took far too long to try relayer him with clean snow though and the warmth of my gloves had soon worn out and so my hands were numb and felt that they were almost beyond non-numb-ifying /: |… Not good… So in an attempt to make the snowman look pretty AND get my hands back to their normal senses, we just tried whacking out of the leaves off in a kung-fu sort of way ^_^.
Guess what!! I don’t know why I just write that because I have nothing >.<… Anyway! I’m going to go now. I actually have more news but since I have to keep these short I’m going to leave it at that. I feel bad that I haven’t written in three days though, so might post another post today . Keep checking . Catch you guys later! Hoping to hear from you soon.

Hey everyone!
Wishing you all a very merry Chrsitmas and hope all of your dreams come true ^_^.
Even if I had said that I was determined to get to sleep before 11PM, no hope, last night I finally got around to going to bed at about midnight-ish.
I thought it would have been a much longer night but being sleep-deprived me (Haha!… Me… Sleep deprived… Pfffft!! : P) I slept straight on through and only had the urge to once look at my mobile clock at 6:14AM. This being the time that I simply could not get back to sleep again and turned on the Nintendo DS : P.
I WAS going to wait until 8AM to be a good child for my parents but at half past six when my mom had awoken to turn the oven on to let the turkey cook slowly, she noticed that my light was on and decided that I didn’t have to wait any longer… Yay!
Once everyone was awake, we were off into trhe lounge, with it’s shimmering awesome-ness. It was so funny because before Christmas Venetia had said that she wanted socks (random O.o… well, not really. We love our socks because we go ice-skating and rocking socks are necessary ^_^) and I had written down a mobile on my Santa list. The very first present that each of us opened was my mobile and Venetia with her socks… Hilarious!
Everything was glittery and had RIBBONS!!
Anyway… Best Christmas EVER! I am the newly named proud owner of this little turtle soft-toy dude… He’s just too “flip-per-ing” awesome! The name choises are between “Peanut Head” and “Franklin” OR “Turtle Dude”… Franklin seems like the best one, since it was the first thing that I squealed when I unwrapped the glorious green shiney wrapping paper to reveal him. See, like I’ve said in my post “Fudge, Licorice, Coconut… And Others Who Go By The Names Of Non-Food Products ^_^!”, I used to have a turtle, tortoise or… terrapin who I named “Franklin” after the turtle, tortoise or terrapin who’s show I used to watch…
I don’t know what the difference between a turtle, tortoise or terrapin is… Therefore I don’t know what he was… Sorry! -_-
Venetia’s taken all of the bows from the wrapping paper and has stuck them to her door O.0… It looks so cool ^_^!
I recieved the most gorgeous, cutest camcorder ever!… And so proceded to film absolutely everything… Even my plate whilst I ate Christmas lunch… It looks AWESOME… Once sped up : P… It’s just like… Woah, where’d it all go /: |.
Heehee!
I’m going to have to leave it at that, my Christmas was AWESOME! And now awaiting Saturday to go clothes shopping, hee hee!!

Hey people!
Only going to be a couple of paragraphs today. This morning I woke up and was absolutely mind-boggled! Apparently today’s date is the 22nd of December… I woke up and looked outside, the weather was like a blooming spring day… SPRING, people!!!
The sky was a flawless blue, the sun was shining and there wasn’t even a breeze in the air! Absolutely stunning! I love living in France ^_^… Like I made a v-log a little while ago because I couldn’t get over the beauty of a day at the end of November… And then THIS… Woah!
Although… I didn’t actually see the weather out of my window this morning… See, I haven’t seen the weather from my bedroom window for quite a while now… I’ve been on the lazy side with having to open my French shutters… It was mainly to keep the heat in my room but when Venetia went to push open my shutters there was a little problem… They just wouldn’t budge! Venetia came and found me to ask how long it had been since they had last been opened : P. I replied with a simple “I don’t know.”, and off we went on our little excursion to open the stubborn shutters!
I flipped the middle lock up and around and took out the hooks from the side – Talk about security ^_^. Afterwards I pressed upon the cold wood… Then I pushed with my palms… After trying this I firmly asserted all of my might and whacked them… This didn’t seem to work either… So I decided to try the pushing again, pushing so hard that I started to slide on my socks across my wooden floor. Venetia went to stand behind and held onto my shirt to support me… Finally, I gave it another budge and “VWOOMP!!”, they flew open… Ahhh!
My dad just reminded me that this was supposed to be “short and sweet”, so going to leave it at that, going to go watch Scrubs. I’ll tell you guys the rest soon, so check back : P.

Hey people!
Today was so freaky! Well see, it was all normal, I got up and was ready for ice-skating… And then was dropped off at ice-skating, so all normal UNTIL… After an hour or so of being there, my French friend introduced Venetia and I to this guy who was described as being “anglais” (English). When he started speaking though Venetia and I were absolutely mind boggled (This isn’t anything new but anyway : P)… He had a South African accent : O!
It’s like, what are the odds of two Zimbabweans moving to a little town in France and then being introduced to a South African… by a French friend… I just can’t get over it! It was just so nice being understood and actually understanding everything! Even phrases like “How’s it?”… As Venetia had the strongest craving to say and then said it, of course : P. If you’re from Zimbabwe or South Africa you’ll know this means “How are you?”.
It makes sense and you’d probably be able to guess what it means even if you’ve never heard of it but the amount of times that it slipped up when I was conversing with friends in Ireland and all that I got was a blank stare was unbelievable : P.
Although… it was actually a little bizarre not having to think to reply to someone, of course I speak English at home and I watch English television a lot more than I’d watch French but it’s just different speaking to someone that you don’t know very well, so easily. When you don’t or haven’t lived in a foreign speaking country, you just don’t appreciate how little you have to use your brain when doing simple daily things : P.
Look! I even use my brain with French when it’s not necessary… For instance… As I was typing “daily” immediately the word “quotidien” popped into my head… It must be absolutely overloading if you speak a tonne of languages : P. It is cool though ^_^.
Oh yes, see his description was donned as “English” because that’s what anyone who speaks English is called by most of the French. I’ve had to correct people so many uncountable times and ten minutes later they’ll be back to saying “anglaise”!
Owww! I just placed my hand on the side of my chair and was ATTACKED!! Gadget was, oh so kind enough to leave little (But PAINFUL) punctures on my knuckles, nice! Now he’s killing an unlucky piece of paper : (.
My accent is hopeless… I have no idea what it is. It has hardly any ressemblance to my prefered accent, Zimbabwean… It’s definately not Irish… I pronounce my “S”’s like “S”’s not like “Z”’s… So it can’t be French… Oh and actually, when the French speak English that’s not what they sound like /: |, anyway it doesn’t sound like the stereotypical Frenchy… I don’t roll my “R”’s so the two months spent in Sicily did no dent into my unidentifiable accent. Well, this is all that I can tell of it anyway : P.
It’s 1AM and I want to go watch “House (M.D.)” now… I know, I have a terrible weekend sleeping pattern -_-. But hey! Now I have the 21 on my calendar coloured in as well : ). Late night writing rocks!! : P

Hey everyone!
Just a quick post. Today Venetia and I finally got around to decorating the front glass room. It looks great! Last year we bought fake icicles to stick onto the window. The light icicles that hang down over the fake snow ones and illuminate them really make it.
I spent a good hour cutting out lots of snow flakes, can never get too old for that . Folding the paper into a square, continue folding it until it’s a small triangle and begin hacking away at it with SAFETY scissors… Ahh, then the BEST part is guessing what it’ll look like when you unfold it, reveal it’s gorgeousness or… extremely bare look and voila, sellotape it to the window… Love it ^_^. And of course, the light-up snowman with his sparkly hat and scarf cannot be forgotten!
You see, Venetia and I tried hanging the icicle lights on the tree outside but… it was cold and muddy… So after several attempts of trying to keep the lights to stay where they were we gave up and came back inside to the warmth and… clean shoe… ness!
I’m not sure where the rest of my day went… Well see, I actually only went to bed at three in the morning last night, so after a good nine hour sleep… I woke up… Nine hours later, being Midday already… So I can literally say that I did… nothing today… Pathetic, I know but I don’t actually mind. It means one less day to have to drole on through until Christmas! Not bad, eh 
.
Tomorrow I think I have to bake Banana bread… I’m not really that keen on baking it though because that means there’ll just be more calories in the house to be consumed… My dad went shopping with my mom yesterday so… There’s more than enough sugar-y treats in the house for now … but that doesn’t stop the bananas from going squidgy…
I just wrote this poem for the sake of Christmas… and animals . Hope you enjoy it and if you’re thinking about getting an animal for Christmas make sure you are really willing to look after and have enough time to love one =].

Hey guys!
The entirety of my day today (Since 8AM :-O), was spent checking out another blog host called WordPress and so I think that I’m moving Deja Moi Comme Ca there, I know that I’ve just moved from Kiss My Fishy but that was necessary… Mmm Hmmm! : P
I’ve also started it correctly by actually adding tags, heehee… Well I stopped half-ish way through because it took something like four to five hours just to do the tags for eighteen of my posts! I will continue with them sometime though! It’s also already got quite a bit of traffic, so I think it’s a good idea and if it doesn’t work out, it’s not the end of the world… Right? : P
I’m not sure whether or not I should delete this blogspot because otherwise it’ll just be left dormant like Kiss My Fishy… So shall have to decide that! Anyway, for now, here’s the link to the new blog: www.dejamoicc.wordpress.com .
Okay, so to the news! Two days ago we finally finished putting up the Christmas decorations in the lounge… It’s just so glittery… It’s like, “Woah! Where’s my sunglasses?!” : P… Brilliant! I’m really looking forward to Christmas, especially because it’s going to be Gadget’s (my kitten’s) very first and he’s always so curious about everything, so it’ll be brilliant to play with the wrapping paper… Or the coal :/ with him : P.
Like I said in my last post, on Saturday the 13th it was my parents wedding anniversary. So before we went to dinner we went to town first. Our little town in south-west France goes completely out for Christmas. All of the little lights are all a-twinkle anywhere you look and even the round-abouts are all done up, it’s just so gorgeous.
In the very centre of town however, the whole place is turned into a Christmas forest sort of thing. The smell of fir trees is in the air and the atmosphere is great! When we were out we saw Santa and even an elf. In the centre, every year they have a little story laid out in a trail of miniature wooden grotto shed thingies.
This year it was the story of the “Matchstick Girl”. It was such a sad story but they had set it up perfectly and when she became an angel at the end… Or rather “Grotto number 13” everyone seemed to enjoy the tale. So it was good, all in all. I even got a sugar crepe and a GIANORMOUS candyfloss… So, in fact, it was GREAT! : P
Oh yes, the only thing that I keep worrying about with Gadget this Christmas is that he doesn’t quite understand the concept of Christmas decorations. I’ve caught him a few times trying to EAT the little golden strands from the Christmas tree. So I’m a little bit worried in case he gets curious, nibbles on something, it gets tangled in his tummy and he gets ill…
So every time he’s slinking around by the tree he gets a hissed at. Recently though we found out that he’s petrified by the sound of jingle bells. You see Venetia took a pair of these really pretty decoration ones that we have and went shaking them around the house… When she came to her room, suddenly Gadget was awake from his deep sleep on her bed and running mid-air to get away from the noise! It was so funny! Venetia felt terrible afterwards for scaring him though, of course but she didn’t know.
Okay guys, I’m getting thirsty and my back’s getting sore from sitting in front of the computer all day, so I’m going to leave it at that. Hope to hear from you guys soon! Seven sleeps until Christmas!

Hey guys!
Hooray, five sleeps until Christmas! I haven’t actually slept yet, so it’s still six sleeps for me… But that’s not the point! It has just clicked over to 00:01, the 20th of December 2008.
Over the next few days, I can’t promise that I’ll be writing much since it’s the weekend… But I really want to because if I don’t then my little calendar on my blog will be missing a day : (…
But if I don’t get the chance to… or am just simply far too lazy – Remember, I’m a teenager : P – And you get bored, check out my other pages on here <— Over that direction, I think. Yay!
This picture was taken in The Black Mountains. Awesome, right ^_^? The snow was magnificent! Second time I’ve seen it this winter… First time I’ve been in it!
